The Windermere Foundation is an important part of the Windermere Real Estate company values.
COMPANY WIDE – The Windermere Foundation, a 501(C) (3) nonprofit organization, was created with the purpose of raising and distributing funds to support homeless assistance programs. Since its beginning in 1989, millions of dollars have been raised to provide shelter, clothing, food and other services to homeless and low-income families. The Foundation addresses the needs of not only families who are already homeless, but of those who are perilously close to becoming homeless—prevention and providing hope are the ultimate goals.
For the past 29 years, the Windermere Foundation has donated a portion of the proceeds from every home purchased or sold towards supporting low-income and homeless families in our communities. The Foundation has grown to encompass ten states and has raised over $39 million for programs and organizations that provide shelter, clothing, children’s programs, emergency assistance, and other services to those who need our help the most.

LOCALLY – Our average donation to our community amounts to $44,000 per year; 40 percent of our funds are a result of our efforts to help people buy and sell real estate; 60% of the funds raised are donations from our local friends, clients, customers and businesses.
